About Us

Faith in Action is comprised of compassionate volunteers helping the elderly who have nowhere else to turn. Volunteers come from a wide sampling of the community at large. Many are affiliated with a church or faith community. Some are part of a civic organization, i.e. Rotary, Exchange clubs. Others just want to help independent of any affiliation other than the larger community. We accept any who wish to give assistance to the frail elderly. Reference and background checks are completed on prospective volunteers.

Currently we have 12 coalitions. A coalition is a group of at least five volunteers from a church or faith tradition, civic group, or community, with one of them designated to be the coalition coordinator. See more on this in the Volunteers section under Coalitions.
